Northampton Residence
The clients liked the idea of an energy-efficient home but wanted a traditional New England style. We oriented the house to the east of true south, added saltbox additions to the north side, angled the garage and used simple window symmetry for the south side. The main and garage roofs incorporate an 8-kW solar system.
