Weston Affordable Housing Project

This project on Rt. 20 in Weston, Massachusetts includes eight 2,000 sq.ft. townhouses with two designated as affordable housing under Massachusetts Chapter 40B legislation.  After lengthy discussions with the town’s municipal boards, the exteriors of the original 19th-century residence and barn, initially planned for demolition, were preserved by funds from the town’s Community Preservation Act.  The design of the project incorporates traditional New England vernaculars clustered together to give the site the feel of a village.
